M785 Yeoman UCGV

The M785 was commonly used during the Third World War and most of them mothballed afterward. With the new war, many of them have been brought out of storage and scrap to provide fire support for Independense Coalition troops on the ground.

The Yeoman self propelled gun first saw action during the third world war and served its purpose with distiction, but most traditional guns became obsolete afterwards and all the M785s were mothballed or scrapped.

With the outbreak of the Fourth war a few years later and limited availability of equipment, the Yeoman was resurected and brought back to the front lines.

It is an unmanned combat ground vehicle with the operator of an entire battery safely hidden some distance away from the guns themselves inside a mobile controll post. This feature greatly reduses needed manpower and the risk to skilled gunners.

The gun itself isn't special, infact, by the standards of other factions, it is woefully obsolete. It manages to keep pace however by being loaded with the most advanced ammunition available. Relatively small sized 155mm warheads loaded with ion-charge explosives can create massive craters of damage that would take an entire barage from most any other howitzer systems.
