Armament: RG AT 2-56 80mm "Katana" main railgun. Coaxial 30mm Gatling cannon. 20mm automatic railgun turret. 40mm multi-launch slingshot missile turret. 2x forward 10mm hull-mounted automatic railguns.

Weight: 78000kg

Drive: 14x electric wheel-hub motors powered by Depleted Uranium Batteries. 57 km/h

Other: Smoke Dischargers. ECM radar lock jammers. 4x "Shredder" point-defence shotgun turrets. "Targe" point defence laser.

Extra: NeuChrome Ablative armour skirting. Explosive Reactive protection package. 40mm multi-launch slingshot missile turret replaced with a 120mm mortar.

The Mark II Diablo was a natural evolution of the Diablo series of tanks. It improves on almost every aspect over its predecessor. Firepower, mobility, versatility, and targeting systems.

The addition of the primary railgun brought about various challenges for the engineers, but it brought about even more advantages in the end product. Not needing an explosive charge to fire projectiles, means more space for more ammunition. This also means no danger of them catching fire and detonating the tank, only the high explosive ammunition requiring special storage precautions.

The Wheel hub motors have been replaced with upgraded models, giving the Mark II significantly more power without using much more energy then the old ones.

Targeting systems have been upgraded and the Chronicler AI system given more integration with the vehicle, this heavily relieves much of the strain put on the crew during combat while making the weapons systems far more accurate. Particularly allowing the AI system to take control over the Targe point-defence and allow it to provide close range anti-infantry defence along side the anti-missile defence it was designed for.

I've lost count on how many times I've re-created my Diablo tanks, and the last time I tried making all four major variants in one go I got so sick of the project I swore I'd never do it again. Well, here we are again. This time with each and every detail on the vehicle to full proportional scale and the best detail work I think I've ever been able to muster.

The original design concepts for the Diablo tanks comes from various sources including the German Leopard 2 tanks, Israeli Merkava, and the "Predator" tank from C&C3 Tiberium Wars.

Looks like a pretty nice concept. :) The 30mm Gatling might be a bit of an overkill, but I guess it's cool... though it'll run out off ammo pretty quickly!

The only real critisism I can point out is that the camo colors on the tank are a bit off- there too much contrast, which drowns the details.
